An elegant couple at a wedding in the Rheingau – Wedding Photographer Marco Palmer, Mainz

My Philosophy

Unobtrusive, documentary photography, film, and analog images for couples who want to truly experience their day.

Are you planning a wedding at a castle in the Rheingau or a winery in the Palatinate – or a wedding weekend at a finca in Majorca, a villa in Tuscany, or a masseria in Puglia?

You're not planning a photo session. Instead, you're planning a day with your most cherished people – a day filled with interactions, conversations, and small, precious moments that often only reveal their full significance when you look back on them.

That's exactly where my work begins.

For almost ten years, I have been capturing weddings with a calm, documentary approach – without any staging. As you experience your day, photos and films are created that tell your story exactly as it felt. The most precious moments are rarely planned; they emerge in between – in a glance, a touch, a quiet smile.

“Marco was so discreet on our wedding day that we barely noticed him — yet he captured all the emotional moments. When we looked at the photos, we immediately felt like we were reliving the entire day.”

Hi, I'm Marco.

For almost ten years, I have been documenting weddings in the Rheingau, the Rhine-Main area, and destination weddings in Italy and Spain.

I am fascinated by people, aesthetics, and the small moments that make a wedding day unique.

When I'm not photographing weddings, you'll usually find me with a Leica around my neck or searching for good coffee in an old Italian town.

If you feel that my work is a good fit for you, I look forward to getting to know you.

From your initial inquiry to the delivery of your finished gallery – here's how a day with me unfolds. You can find all the details here.
