Marco Palmer
Calm Documentary Wedding Photography & Film
For more than eight years, I’ve been documenting weddings in Germany and around the world — often at destination weddings in Mediterranean countries such as Italy or Spain. Many of the couples I work with come from the United States, the UK, Australia and across the DACH region.
My approach is documentary. I observe rather than interfere, creating space for genuine moments instead of staging them.
My approach is calm, present and unobtrusive. I only step in where it truly makes sense and consciously leave space for your day to unfold naturally.
This creates space for you to fully experience your wedding day – without pressure and without staged moments. The story of your day develops naturally from within the moment itself, rather than being observed from the outside.
“Many of our guests were surprised by how naturally Marco became part of the day – not like a stranger, but simply part of it.”
Creating exactly this feeling of natural presence is my goal on your wedding day: to be present without becoming the center of attention.
I work calmly and attentively with a strong sensitivity for people and situations. This results in photos and films that feel honest, unposed and close to the way your day truly felt.
In my work, I combine photography and videography into one seamless experience. This creates a form of coverage that feels calm, intuitive and visually cohesive. Complemented by analog film photography, the result is imagery and films that don’t just show the atmosphere of your wedding day, but make it tangible.
I live with my wife in Mainz, Germany.
Communication is possible in German or English.
